Rule 4-501 – Applicability

The procedure provided by this Chapter is exclusive and mandatory for use in all judicial proceedings for expungement of records whether pursuant to Code, Criminal Procedure Article, §§ 10-102 through 10-109 or otherwise, except that expungement of juvenile records is governed by Rule 11-601.

2002 Orders

The January 8, 2002, order substituted “Code, Criminal Procedure Article, §§ 10-101 through 10-109 ” for “Article 27, §§ 735 through 741 “.

2010 Orders

The March 9, 2010, order substituted “Code, Criminal Procedure Article, §§ 10-102 through 10-109 ” for “Code, Criminal Procedure Article, §§ 10-101 through 10-109 ” and amended the cross reference.

2012 Orders

The October 4, 2012, order deleted the cross reference at the end of the Rule.

2015 Orders

The March 2, 2015 order added a certain exception.
