1. 1220(1)Notice of public sale. The referees shall give notice of the time and place of any public sale by two publications, at least six days apart, in some newspaper of general circulation in the county where the sale is to be held. The last publication shall be at least seven days prior to a sale of real estate and at least four days prior to a sale of personal property.1. 1220(2)Expense. If authorized by the court, referees may advertise the sale beyond the required notice, or employ an auctioneer, clerk or assistant. When allowed by the court the expense thereof shall be part of the costs.
