Rule 1.1228 – Paying small sums for minor

Whenever a minor for whom no conservator has been appointed is entitled to proceeds of a partition sale in an amount not exceeding $ 10,000, the court may order the proceeds paid to the minor’s parent or natural guardian, or the person with whom the minor resides, for the use of such minor. The written receipt of such person, when filed with the court, shall discharge the referee of all liability for the proceeds.
