Rule 4-641 – Criminal Investigation-Applicability

Rules 4-641 through 4-644 apply to circuit court procedures relating to criminal investigations. “Criminal investigation means inquiries into alleged criminal activities conducted by (a) a grand jury, (b) a State’s Attorney pursuant to Code, Criminal Procedure Article, § 15-108, or (c) the State Prosecutor pursuant to Code, Criminal Procedure Article, § 14-110. Title 5 of these rules does not apply to circuit court procedures relating to criminal investigations.
