(a)Generally.(1) To the extent provided by supreme court rule, the clerks of the district and appellate courts must accept documents for filing by electronic means.(2) As used in this section, “document” means a pleading, motion, exhibit, declaration, affidavit, memorandum, paper, order, notice and any other filing by or to the court.(b)Signatures and verifications. A document may be signed or verified by electronic means that are consistent with supreme court rules. The signature or verification by electronic means satisfies the requirement for signing or verifying a document in K.S.A. 60-211, and amendments thereto, and in any other section of this code.
